Planning Your Appointment

Coverage is confirmed by address, not by city name. Bexar County neighborhoods sit right up against Comal, Guadalupe and Kendall County lines, so two houses a mile apart can have different water providers and different rules about who owns which part of the line.

That also changes where your shutoff is. In most of San Antonio the main shutoff valve is in the water meter box at the curb, usually under a rectangular lid near the sidewalk. Boerne, Schertz, Universal City and parts of Helotes are served by their own city utilities or private wells, so the meter, the pressure and the softener setup can all look different. If your property is on a well, the pump breaker matters as much as the valve.

Before you call, it helps to know which fixtures are affected and whether anything is still running. Read how a service call works, browse the full list of plumbing services, or go straight to requesting a visit. If the problem is a water heater, our repair versus replacement guide is a useful thing to read first.
